President’s Report

 

President discussed:

 

(1)    CPOA Convention being held in Las Vegas, NV 22-27 August; $$ for (2) members to attend.

(2)    Proposal to hold one evening meeting per Quarter; SCPO Fogt and CPO Fogell to coordinate.

 

Committee Reports

 

-Special Olympics;  Softball game scheduled for last week in July.  More information to follow.

  Mr. Bob Crowell taking care of the letters.

 

-Shirt/Hat Committee; Don Gauthier has proposal – will be in contact with President or Vice President.

 

Old Business

 

None.

 

New Business

 

-CCTI being held at Air Station Cape Cod on Friday May 14th.

 

-Motion to give $50.00 to outlying units within local area to for their Enlisted Person of the Quarter (EPOQ) or  
 Sailor of the Quarter program. – Motion passed.

 

-Munro Award - $100.00 proposal

 

-Windjammers being held at CGA October 16th; CPOA will present trophy and run the concession stand.

 

-Football schedule with home games available; Sept 11(Parent’s Weekend) @ 1:30, Sept 25 @ 1:30, Oct 23(Homecoming) @ 1:30, Oct 30 @ 1:00.

 

-MCPO D’Amico looking for a couple of Chief’s to assist serving beer at the Cadet Talent Show in Leamy Hall on Thursday, April 29th;  little interest; suggest passing to CGEA for assistance.

 

Good of the Order

 

-Members signed and forwarded “get well” card to CPO Valliere (Ret)

 

-SCPO Takajian reports four new School Chief’s reporting to Chase hall this summer.

 

-CPO Back proposed possible donation from SECONN CPOA to the DC3 killed overseas; more info to follow.

 

-New plastic membership cards being offered.

 

-Luau discussed further from previous meeting – need more information / discussion.
