b.) Everything is ready to go regarding CPOA’s food booth at the first home football game. We have cookers. There is some concern about the grills and talk is that we may buy new ones instead of fixing the one we currently have. We have 400 hot dogs and will be going to BJ’s to purchase sodas. Hamburger plan is the same as before. Discussed if we wanted to sell pizza as well, but it isn’t a big money maker. Bob Crowell and Chuck D’Amico will meet to discuss particulars
c.) Windjammers is a “go.” 24 bands participating from 1100 to 2400. CGEA can make a lot of funds as well if the set up next to us. May need 2 or 3 booths to have enough. Can also bring along family to help out.
d.) Vikki Cates mentioned that we have a ton of ribbon magnets that we can sell at the games and Windjammers. She’ll also be taking some along to the annual convention. MCPO Isherwood sold $60 worth on his own and reckons we can get $2 a piece for them. Not averse to giving a few away (within reason). Currently 800 left.
e.) Received a “thank you” card from Jeffrey and Amber Wolfe.
f.) Discussed Chief’s Call To Initiation (CCTI). CPOA will buy plaques. Vikki said we have the funds.
g.) Bob Crowell made a motion to donate $100 towards “hospitality room” at CPOA Convention. MCPO Creighton seconded the motion.
h.) MCPO D’Amico makes a motion to purchase 5 coolers. Mike Backs seconds the motion. The idea is put forward that we stencil them as well.
i.) MCPO
Creighton goes over a request by John Cardinelli. His son has a severe kidney
ailment. A fund raiser is being held in
5. OLD BUSINESS
a.) MCPO D’Amico wants to discuss Enlisted Appreciation Day. Bob Freudenberger explains the concept. We plan on having a banner and trophy. Do we want to include local commands or all SEECON units? At our last meeting the CPOA pledged $500 towards this function.
