Greetings:
As we approach winter, the Holidays and a
New Year we want to take a moment and wish you all a very Merry & Happy
Holiday Season from your Chapter Officers.
Our Chapter continues to do well, thanks
to the hard work of our Chiefs, their spouses, children and friends.
Our chapter has just completed another
successful football concession stand season. The last game of the season 15 Nov
the Academy Cadet's played
GLIS/MSO
Chief' mess held an outstanding CCTI 30 Oct.
The pinning was held at Anthony's Restaurant and the keynote speaker was
retired Vice Adm. Paul A. Welling, A good time was had by all.
On
behalf of our chapter the Academy's CMC Jeff Creighton and I have presented
several awards over the last few months including the Cadet Navigation Award,
OCS Athletics Award and several awards to the Academy's Enlisted Persons of the
Quarter.
On
a sad note, one of our outstanding chapter members MCPO Joe White Crossed The Bar
Elections
of officers were confirmed at our October meeting as there were no nomination
received the secretary cast one vote for the present chapter officers.
Installation of officers will be held at our January meeting.
The CPOA and Academy Chiefs have had
several pre-commissioning meetings and lunches at the new Chiefs Mess. The pool
table is in and we are waiting for a few more pieces of furniture before making
plans for the Grand Opening.
National CPOA ELECTIONS: January
issue of the CHIEF Magazine will have a list of all the candidates running for
a NATIONAL OFFICE. It is your time to VOTE. Just select the candidates you want
and cast your ballot. Easy to follow instruction will be included.
I have decided to run for an Executive Committee
seat and I am asking for your
